A Little More Fire. A New Way to Flow.

This community's devotion and enthusiasm have inspired me to share another part of my martial arts practice with you.

Kung Fu has been part of my training for decades, and I love the vitality, focus, and joy it brings. There is something deeply satisfying about finding your rhythm in a combination—feeling your feet beneath you, your breath moving, and your strength coming alive.

In this six-class series, we’ll bring that energy into our mornings through punches, blocks, kicks, and flowing combinations, taught step by step with room to find your own pace.

I’m excited to share this side of Embodied Alchemy with you.

With love,
Nina

Find Strength, Rhythm & Confidence

Throughout our six classes, you’ll practice:

  • Foundational Kung Fu stances, punches, blocks, and kicks.

  • Rhythmic combinations that challenge coordination and focus.

  • Whole-body movement to develop strength, balance, and stamina.

  • Connecting your breath with your movement.

  • Adjusting the pace and range of motion to suit your body.

Join me live for the energy of practicing together, and return to the recordings whenever you want a 30-minute movement boost.

What Is Kung Fu Cardio?

Kung Fu Cardio is the more energetic expression of the Embodied Alchemy Method.

We’ll draw on traditional martial arts foundations and weave them into an accessible aerobic practice. You’ll learn individual movements, connect them into combinations, and explore the rhythm of moving with strength and intention.

Expect a little more heat, a playful challenge, and clear guidance throughout. We’ll begin by warming the body and finish by slowing down, gathering our energy, and settling into stillness.

No previous martial arts experience is needed. Come ready to learn, move, and enjoy yourself.

A Practice You Can Build On

There is joy in discovering what your body can do.

A stance becomes more familiar. A combination begins to flow. You notice how your breath supports your movement, and how much more available your strength feels when you stay connected to your center.

Meeting twice a week gives us a rhythm for learning and returning. Across three weeks, we’ll revisit the foundations, add new combinations, and give you a practice you can continue with long after the series ends.

“A journey of a thousand miles
Begins beneath the feet.”

 - Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching, Chapter 64

Come Move With Us

This series is for you if you:

  • Enjoy mindful movement and are curious about a more energetic practice.

  • Want to explore martial arts with an experienced, encouraging teacher.

  • Love the idea of a short morning class with strength, rhythm, and focus.

  • Already practice Tai Chi or Qigong and want to explore another side of your training.

  • Are new to martial arts and would appreciate step-by-step instruction.

You can keep your kicks low, make your movements smaller, and take breaks whenever you need. I’ll encourage you to work at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

Make Space for Your Practice

Thirty minutes to move your body, engage your attention, and connect with your strength.

During a season when our schedules can fill quickly, this series offers a simple rhythm: two mornings a week, three weeks together, and a practice you can return to whenever you need it.

Come as you are. Let’s move.

Before We Begin

Chai Tea & Tai Chi

Do I need martial arts experience?
No. I’ll guide the movements step by step, with time to practice and become familiar with the combinations.

How intense will the classes be?
Expect a more energetic pace than our gentle Tai Chi classes. You can adjust your speed, keep kicks low, reduce your range of motion, and rest as needed.

What do I need?
Comfortable clothing, water, a reliable internet connection, and enough clear space to step and extend your arms and legs comfortably. No martial arts equipment is needed.

What if I miss a live class?
Every class will be recorded. Your registration includes lifetime access to all six recordings, so you can practice on your own schedule.

Will we meet on Thanksgiving?
Yes! Our November 26 class takes place at the usual time, 8:00–8:30 AM Eastern.

Is this included in my monthly membership?
This is a separate six-class series. Active Embodied Alchemy members receive the special price of $66; the non-member price is $88.

A Lifetime of Practice, Shared With You

Martial arts have shaped my life since I was seventeen. From student to assistant, teacher, and curriculum developer, I have spent decades exploring how these practices help us meet life with strength, awareness, and an open heart.

Embodied Alchemy grew from that devotion. Kung Fu Cardio is an opportunity for me to share more of the movement I love—and for us to discover what comes alive when we practice together.

I look forward to seeing you in class.

With love,
Nina
